FLEXFY in New York – our STEP USA recap
From November 2–6, 2025, FLEXFY was part of the STEP USA program in New York — an initiative of the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC NY) in cooperation with Hessen Trade & Invest and NBank.
Five days full of input, networking, inspiration, and a powerful look at how German technology meets American openness.
A program that builds bridges
The kickoff at GACC NY headquarters on Wall Street brought together startups from across Germany with experts from business, law, investment, and innovation.
In sessions like “Pitching with Presence,” “Doing Business in the U.S.” and “Investor Insights,” we received valuable impulses for entering the U.S. market — and, above all, gained plenty of practical experience, feedback, and meaningful encounters.
The highlight: Pitch Night at 7 World Trade Center
On November 5, 2025, we had the honor of presenting the FLEXFY system during the Pitch Night at 7 World Trade Center — in front of American investors, founders, and representatives from New York’s tech community.
Together with nine other startups from Lower Saxony and Hesse, we took the stage — and brought our live demonstrator with us.
The moment our light fixture clicked magnetically onto the wall and lit up — without cables, drills, or electricians — could be felt throughout the room: a mix of curiosity and amazement.
Many of the conversations that followed revolved around that exact moment — the “FLEXFY Magic Moment,” as one guest called it.
Our takeaway
For us, the STEP USA program was much more than a delegation trip. It was a confirmation that electrification needs to be rethought — and that its relevance is global.
The combination of European engineering precision and American openness feels like a perfect match.
With many new contacts and ideas in our luggage, we’re now looking ahead to the next steps: preparing our U.S. market entry and building partnerships on the ground.
